Robotics, term 2

In this activity, children discover the exciting world of coding and robotics in a playful, hands-on way. They learn the fundamentals of programming and algorithmic thinking while seeing their code come to life in real robots.

During the sessions, children will:

• Experiment with robot control and different sensors (infrared, sound, light, and distance)
• Solve fun challenges that build logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Work together in small teams, practising communication and collaboration

This term we are introducing a new platform: micro:bit robotics, which lets children program and control their own smart creations. We also work with the Edison educational robot, combining it with LEGO bricks so children can design and build robots in endless ways.

The focus is on creativity, curiosity, and confidence with technology – giving children a strong foundation for future STEM learning while they have a lot of fun.
